While the Metralla Mk2 (Model 23) is better known, the original Model 8 was introduced in 1962 – just 4 years after the company had been formed by Francisco Xavier Bultó.

The 196cc two-stroke motor pushed 20 horsepower through a 4-speed transmission. It was a healthy number for the motor size, and it didn’t hurt that the bike weighed just 213 pounds. Bultaco sold an optional race kit that would bump top speed over 90 miles per hour. Despite all of this, the Metralla wasn’t a tremendous seller – approximately 5,000 examples were sold. But it was quite a performer for the day, and it’s a lovely two-wheeler, to boot.

This example (VIN: 802209) was restored with a repaint, NOS decals, NOS speedometer, rebuilt engine, rebuilt transmission, rebuilt Amal carb, NOS exhaust, NOS Betor shocks, and more. Find this Metralla for sale in Boise, Idaho with bidding up to $3,050 and the reserve not yet met
