The story of the 47 Ronin is an impressive (and true) tale which exemplifies the Japanese samurai code of honor, which includes ritual suicide, revenge…and more ritual suicide. Ronin Motorworks has now taken elements of that story in their own version of the 47, a limited run of motorcycles based around the Buell 1125CR.
In another intersection of this story and motorcycles, the story of the 47 Ronin was released as a film last year (though it seems it takes plenty of liberties with the truth), starring Keanu Reeves. Reeves, of course, has just announced production of his own motorcycle, the Arch KRGT-1. More on that later…maybe. I first heard about this bike through this writeup on BikeEXIF, so head on over there for more details. Or head straight to the Tech Specs site on Ronin’s page.
The short story is that Ronin Motoworks acquired 27 1125’s before Buell was terminated, and have transformed them into the aggressive machine you see in front of you – with one of the coolest front ends I’ve ever seen. And if $38,000 is a little out of your budget but you want a similarly crazy-looking bike, you might be interested in the 31BLK conversion kit from Brasse, specifically designed to turn a Ninja 250 into this:
But if the price ain’t a problem and you like what you see, get your piece of the 47 for $38,000 here on the Ronin web page in Denver, Colorado.
