Built to compete at the Bonneville Salt Flats in the Special Construction, Partially Streamlined class in 2014 (which was rained out), this Ironhead Sportster is called “Silver Fox.”
Unfortunately, Bonneville was also rained out in 2015, and the owner couldn’t get sponsors for 2016 so this has never been run on the salt before. But it meets all the requirements for Partially Streamlined Special Construction except for the Bridgestone Battlax tires. Components include aluminum bodywork, Morris magneto, Mikuni HS40 flatslide carb, Arlen Ness hardhead neck grafted on to the stock ’72 frame, Fatboy 16″ disc rear wheel with 19″ cast front wheel, Biltwell throttle, Ducati steering damper, and a whole bunch more.
It’s definitely worth going to the listing to see all of the parts and work – the seller claims that this took thousands of hours of labor. Find this Harley for sale in Zieglerville, Pennsylvania for $19,995 here on American Classic Motors.
