In hindsight, the Honda CB750 was a tremendous sales success, but when Soichiro Honda introduced the bike, he utilized cheap/rough sandcast molds for the engine before it was clear that there would be enough demand to justify buying expensive metal molds. The first 7,414 bikes are known as sandcast CB750s for that reason, and they’re worth quite a bit more.
This bike (VIN: CB750-1005970) is claimed to be an ‘all original barnfind’ that received rebuilt carbs and new gaskets – it apparently now runs “beautifully and smooth like it should.” Some parts were changed in the past, but the seller has replaced a few of them (like the headlight supports, airbox, chain guard, and more) and the rest of the original parts are included.
