Post Listing Update: This Turismo D was pulled off of eBay, final sale price unknown.
The “D” model of MV Agusta’s 125 Turismo was produced in 1952, and the main upgrades from the “C” included the front suspension (as MV calls it, a “pressed steel front parallelogram suspension”) and a new gas tank. This beautiful example has spent “almost all its life inside a private collection in France” and it has not been started in more than 40 years. Because of that, the seller claims that the paint, chrome, rubber, and just about everything else are in “immaculate condition.”
Approximately 12,000 examples of the Turismo D were built, each featuring a 123.5cc two-stroke motor that was good for 5 horsepower. The entire package weighed 187 pounds and the bike was capable of hitting 50 miles per hour and returning over 85 miles per gallon. For more specifications on this little Italian, head on over to MV’s official page. There isn’t much else to say about this bike (VIN: 02035716) but the sale will come with a Bill of Sale and a European Union Certificate of Origin.
