Sitting Since 1997 – 1993 Ducati 888 SPO

The Ducati 888SPO was a limited edition of the 888 – only 390 were produced over two years. Featuring the trademark desmo valve V-Twin, this 888 produced 94 horsepower and was very much suited to track time. For a limited edition Ducati, the 888SPO gets very little mention and is relatively underappreciated. Keep your eyes peeled for head and base gasket leaks, and you should be fine. This is just a beautiful bike that won both the World Superbike and AMA Superbike championships in 1993.

Here’s an example (VIN: ZDM1HB7R5P8000768) in excellent cosmetic condition – but that’s because it’s been sitting for nearly 20 years. It’s going to need some mechanical work – are you ready to bring this bike back to life? It has 3,960 miles and the only non-original part seems to be the red grips.
