Readers familiar with the Honda CBX will know that in 1981, Honda took their incredible 6-cylinder sportbike and turned it into a sport tourer. Today I’ve got a seller who’s unloading an example of both from his collection – so I want to know which bike you’d prefer!
We start with the sport model – the 1979 Honda CBX. ’79 was the first year of production, when the bike was a revelation to motorcycling press and consumers. Benelli beat Honda to the six-cylinder production engine game, but Honda sold a lot more CBXs than Benelli sold Seis. This example has 13,700 miles and is claimed to be in pristine condition.

Or, we’ve got a 1982 Honda CBX in white, after the bike had been turned into a tourer with fairings. This example has 22,248 miles and is claimed to be in excellent condition. My only complaint is it doesn’t have the factory luggage.
