A couple of years ago, I got some quality time with the Suzuki SV650X and I came away quite impressed. I found it quite enjoyable to ride with a slightly underwhelming suspension but nothing unreasonable at the MSRP of $8,399. Here’s a leftover model that a dealer’s got for $5,999 (plus fees), and that seems like a screaming deal if you’re a fan of the styling.
I wasn’t a huge fan of the styling, as Suzuki added a chin fairing and brown seat for the “X” model, which was supposed to be a café racer from the factory. I was, however, a huge fan of the motor.
At the original pricing, I’d have spent my money on the base SV650. But even with the inevitable dealer fees, this seems like a deal. This example (VIN: JS1VP55BXK7100877) is a leftover new bike with 6 miles on the odometer offered by BMW Motorcycles of Ventura County. As such, there isn’t much for me to say about the history of it!
Find this SV for sale in Newbury Pak, CA for $5,999 (plus dealer fees, presumably) here on Craigslist.
