A couple of years ago, I shared a Triumph Trophy 500 that was claimed to be one of the three bikes used by Arthur Fonzarelli’s character in the show Happy Days. It was offered on eBay for $100k with no interest, then it sold last year at a “Hollywood Legends” event by Julien’s Auctions in Las Vegas for $179,200. One of the other bikes has been with a private owner for the last couple of decades – it’s not for sale, but Hagerty has got a story about its history if you’re interested.
The bike is currently on display at Hagerty’s headquarters in Traverse City, Michigan, which presumably explains their interest in sharing the tale. Read all about it here.
