Honda’s NSR250R was sold from ’87 to ’99, and was pretty much the defining 250 racer replica over all those years. MC28 was the chassis code for bikes made in 1994, which featured a 249cc two-stroke engine that produced approximately 39 horsepower. The “R” model got a wet multi-plate clutch and the Pro-Arm rear suspension. Adjustability was limited to preload only. For all the specifications you’d want, head on over to NSR-World.
This bike is not pristine cosmetically, but it’s got something going for it that most NSR250R’s don’t – it’s titled for street usage. You’ll need to replace the tires, rear brakes, and fork seals, but then you’ll have a mini road rocket for the street. Find this MC28 for sale here on Craigslist in Southeast Michigan for $5,000.
