The reason for the rebuilt title on this KTM seems a little dubious, but for this price I’d say this bike is worth a closer look.
Cycle World called this the best Adventure bike of 2014, thanks to “sportbike-like performance on the asphalt while efficiently managing traction—both go and whoa—on the dirt.” It has the capability to go nearly anywhere and still has the power to hit 150 miles per hour.
This example was “too close to a campfire”, which caused some bubbling on the left side of the tank, under the seat, and it deformed the plastic of the left front turn signal. That combined with a bent wheel was apparently enough to total the bike, if you believe the story. It has 8,700 miles and lots of good accessories – Akrapovic exhaust, Puig windshield, KTM aluminum skid plate, Givi top case, 4 LED lights, and more. The bike also got a new OEM rear wheel to replace the bent one. Find this 1190 Adventure for sale near Seattle, Washington for $9,990 here on Craigslist.
