My buddy Al Charles is the former road race director at AHRMA and he’s been selling some of his very cool motorcycle collection over on Iconic. Here’s my favorite so far – a Ducati Supermono tribute built with a custom aluminum Tigcraft frame surrounding a 519cc Rotax engine. Even better is the reason why he bought it: Al used to race his actual Supermono – he bought this bike so he could “retire” the OG.
Al has actually sold several bikes with us at Iconic, including a beautiful 0-mile Yamaha R1 Limited Edition, low-mile Yamaha RZ350, Ducati 748RS, Ducati 1198 S Corse…the list goes on and on and it’s full of some cool stuff.
Back to this bike – the Tigcraft aluminum frame surrounds a 519cc Rotax engine with “Bare Bones Racing Modified Head with twin SCR 35 mm twin carburetors and twin exhaust ports.” Al says there’s less than 75 miles on the engine. The engine is paired with a 5-speed transmission, Termignoni titanium exhaust, Marchesini magnesium wheels, Ohlins shock, Ohlins steering damper, and the front end from a Kawasaki ZX-6. Oh…and there’s a custom aluminum fuel cell and carbon fiber subframe! I love this thing.
Find this tribute for sale in Thornville, Ohio with bidding up to $2,102 here on Iconic Motorbikes.
