2006 was the last year of Husqvarna’s operations under the MV Agusta group before BMW bought the company for nearly 100 million Euros. At the time, Husky’s flagship street-legal dirt bike was the TE510. This seller has banked heavily on the “street” portion with a supermoto conversion that would make for a very entertaining commute.
For more on the TE510 (at least in its original dirt form), check out this comparison with the KTM 530 EXC by Dirt Bike. In it, the reviewers state, “We’re still awe-struck that this bike can be this good and still be street-legal. It’s a dirt bike, pure and simple. The motor has old-world pulling power from way down low and exceptional torque. Even with the baffle in place, it’s fast—not screaming, high-rpm fast, but throaty, hard-pulling fast. On top, the Husky seems to die earlier than you expect, but it’s done great work by then.”
This example has been with the seller for 2 years, and during that time he’s swapped from the OEM dirt setup to a supermoto setup with a long list of modifications that include 17″ Behr wheels, Continental SM tires, and serious brake upgrades: Beringer 4-piston caliper, Brembo RCS15 master cylinder, Ferodo sintered pads, and an EBC 320mm rotor. In addition, the seller will throw in an Ohlins TTX shock if he gets close to his asking price, and he’s also include the original wheels/brakes, extra seat, bigger Clarke tank, and the original blue/yellow bodywork.
