Harris Performance Products was founded over 30 years ago in the UK, known mostly for building racing frames. In 1973, they introduced the Magnum series, frames sold direct to consumers for road usage. The last generation was the Magnum 5, designed specially for use with a Honda Fireblade engine. Though these are most common in Europe, here’s a rare example currently available in the US.
The Magnum range started as an endurance racer and evolved into a streetfighter/sportbike (look here for an evolution of the Magnum line). This example was built in the UK and then finished/registered in Canada in 2005. It’s won Best of Show and Best British Bike at the 2015 Vintage in the Valley show in Chilliwack, British Columbia. The frame isn’t the only Harris part on this bike – the fuel tank, rear sets, rear brake master cylinder, and swing arm are all Harris units. In addition, this bike features a Ohlins rear shock, Ducati tail, stainless steel brake and clutch lines, daytona steering damper, and other pieces all wrapped around the engine from a 1991 Suzuki GSX-R 1100.
Find this Magnum 4 for sale in North Vancouver, British Columbia for the impressive asking price of $28,500 here on Craigslist.
