When automatic transmissions were the hot new innovation in automobiles, manufacturers gave them amazing names like Powerglide, TorqueFlite, Ultramatic, and even Toyota’s Toyoglide. Honda also got in the game with both cars and motorcycles with the Hondamatic (why the hell didn’t they bring that name back for the new DCT they’re using in bikes?), but did you know that Suzuki also made an automatic transmission for motorcycles? Meet the “Suzukimatic”.

The semi-automatic transmission had 2 speeds, and when it was combined with shaft drive and a 29.1 inch seat height, this bike was marketed as ‘one of the easiest-to-ride machines of its kind.’

This clutchless Zook has 9,103 miles and is claimed to be in very good condition for its age, though there are some rust spots and there’s a small dent in the tank. Recent work includes new brakes, carb cleaning, new front master cylinder and more. Find it for sale in Boothwyn, Pennsylvania for $1,900 here on Craigslist.
