Called “The Emperor”, this custom GSX-R1000 features a long list of aftermarket upgrades and has been featured in multiple sport bike magazines (back when those were still a thing).
The seller acquired this example (VIN: JS1GT76A662102070) over ten years ago and he “made certain updates to get it up to date.” He says, “when I bought the bike it was period correct and somewhat tired.” He updated it with Marchesini forged aluminum wheels, new tires, new clear coat, a brake fluid flush, re-valved the fork seals, installed a newer Yoshimura carbon fiber exhaust, added a GPS-based alarm, and a few smaller pieces. Upgrades originally done to the bike include Brembo monoblack calipers, CRG clutch, revolution rotors, Cycle Cat triple tree/clip-ons, Ohlins R&T forks, shock, and steering stabilizer, Yoshimura full titanium exhaust, AIM MXL instrument panel, Corbin seat, Sato Racing bar ends and rear sets, and plenty more. Someone put well over $15,000 in parts into this bike many years ago – but has it aged well?
