12-30-16 Update: This Guzzi is back up for sale, bidding is currently at $4,600 with the reserve not yet met
Post Listing Update: This Guzzi custom did not meet reserve with bidding up to $5,600 on eBay.
This SP originally started as a touring bike, but this example was restored in 2013 and turned into a custom cafe racer. It’s said to be a multiple 1st place winning show quality bike that gets ridden. Hope you like the visual style, because it comes with a Shoei helmet with matching paint.
The Spada’s 1000cc engine pushed out about 75 horsepower, yielding a top speed of 116 miles per hour. The bike weighed 460 pounds dry and according to contemporary reviews, had good handling and a fantastic integrated braking system. For more information, head on over to the Ye Olde Cycle Shoppe for a period review.
This example (VIN: VG201087) has just 3,135 miles since it was new – it is unclear how many were put on after the restoration. Highlights of the build include a LeMans fairing, Tomaselli rearsets, Tarozzi controls, 2 sets of silencers, Ohlins shocks, and a custom LED cockpit.
