Adorned in the less common Mystic Red paint job, this R100GS has had just two owners. Will you be the third?
34,007 examples of the R100GS were built, with the basic specifications of 60 horsepower, 455 pound dry weight, and a 112 mile per hour top speed. For more information on the this legendary generation of the GS, check out this article on Motorcycle Classics.
The seller of this GS is the second owner, who says that it’s always been in Southern California. “I bought the bike from an older lifetime BMW enthusiast who has Parkinson’s and didn’t ride the bike more than a few hundred miles a year. I’ve put about 1k miles on it. It has been well cared for its whole life.” The odometer now shows about 26k. 150 miles ago the bike got a service with an oil change (engine and transmission), fork oil change, brake fluid flush, carb sync, new battery, and new Continental TKC70 tires. The seller says that the bodywork and paint is original with just one scratch on the left side of the tank. The sale includes the OEM luggage (not pictured).
