The Christini 450DS has a special mechanical system that enables both wheels to be driven by the engine, with a series of chains and shafts that power the front wheel in addition to the rear. Check out the technological details here on the Christini website.
The slickest thing about this bike, is of course how the front wheel is driven. The system is entirely enclosed within the head tube and frame, and is so efficient that it results in less than a 1% power loss. The system’s weight is less than 15 pounds. The extra grip is tremendous and brings a whole new level of enjoyment to serious dual sporting. The only catch might be the Chinese-built engine based on a Honda 450. While final assembly is done in Philadelphia, the relatively low MSRP is possible due in part to the reduced costs of sourcing engines from China.
This specific Christini 450DS has about 500 miles and comes with plenty of extras, including a Vapor gauge cluster, Talon hubs, Renthal bars, Acerbis skid plate and handguards, Keihin FCR 39mm carbs, the rear shock from a CRF450R, Rekluse auto clutch, Seat Concepts comfort seat…the list goes on and on.
