Suuzki’s DR650 has been around since 1990, and it’s barely been changed since 1996. Because of that, it’s not necessarily the fastest, most technologically advanced dual-sport option on the market today, but it’s very reliable and easy to fix if something goes wrong when you’re in Central America. It’s a cheap way to enter the word of adventure touring, and Cycle World explains why it’s one of their best used bike choices here. Today’s example is in Panama, which presents a very interesting opportunity: a truly adventurous fly and ride!
The bike has a few mods to help with the goal of exploration, including an Acerbis 5.3 gallon tank, rear racks, skid plate, aftermarket bars/hand guards, and soft luggage. THe seller has some spare parts and new tires and says that while the bike has been ridden hard, it is in good working order. Unfortunately, the trip the seller was on ended “due to a van explosion” and he/she is just trying to get back home now. The bike is titled and plated in California and the seller has the title ready for transfer. Fly down and ride back up to the States for one hell of a trip on your new-to-you Suzuki!
