Post Listing Update: This R90S was relisted a couple of times, but eventually it did not meet reserve with the bids stalling at $8,500.
Obviously, BMW airheads have become a popular platform for customization in the last few years. Still, you don’t expect to see someone start with a R90S! What do you think of the end result? Before you cry heresy, note that the bike had a non-matching engine (though the seller later found the matching block and it is included).
Highlights of the work to this bike (VIN: 4950239) include rebuilt Dell’orto carbs, Caswell-lined tank, Flatracer fairing, Monza fuel cap, custom seat, San Jose BMW rearsets/heads, Tarozzi clipons, Acewell gauges, and more. The seller says this bike “runs, shifts and stops fantastically” and he points out that you could reverse it back to stock if you wanted as well.
