The Moto Guzzi T3 was an 844cc transverse V-twin that put out that put out approximately 59HP through a 5-speed transmission with shaft drive. Weight was 540 pounds, so it was not exactly fast, but it was comfortable and reliable, with typical big-twin torque. As such, it was selected by many California cities for Police duty. Supposedly this has a history as a Long Beach Police bike.
Pretty much everything on this bike has been rebuilt. Frame powdercoated, all the bodywork painted, and the engine totally blacked out. Interestingly, the owner has retained the original cruiser stance, with pull-back bars and floorboards, bucking the current cafe racer trend.
The purists may go nuts, as the original T3 was a handsome bike, both in naked and cruiser guise, but hey, when it’s your bike, you can do what you want. What do you think about this custom? If it rocks your boat, it can be had for $4,500 here on Craigslist. It’s located somewhere near Spokane, Washington.
