I’ve featured a few GB500s over the years – but this is the first one that’s been heavily customized. What do you think of the end result?
I’m going to assume you’re familiar with the GB already, so let’s talk about what makes this different. The seller says that this has a “properly jetted new Mikuni flat slide carburetor,” also noting that it’s got rebuilt forks and calipers, plus stainless steel brake lines, a new chrome exhaust, custom seat, and “cafe style rear cowl.” Rounding out the goodies are are a new Rick’s regulator/rectifier as well as relocated headlight and gauges to make room for LSL clip on bars.
The frame and swingarm were powdercoated black, while the bodywork was painted an Audi color: Nardo Gray. I’ll ask again – what do you think of the final product? Personally, I’d prefer the stock bike, though I have to admit that this has shown me just how visually large the stock tank is.
