It looks like a KLR…but take a second look at that motor. Are you as confused as I am?
I left a voicemail with the seller just to see if I could get more information on this bike, but I couldn’t wait to feature it. For some reason, the original 650 single has been pulled out and replaced by a 750 Ducati twin. The seller says the motor and transmission work well, and there’s several new parts in the rest of the bike – coils, tires, CDI box, chain, and sprockets. The odometer shows 42,000 miles but it’s unclear how many were put on after the engine transplant.
It’s just received an oil change and valve adjustment, so the bike is ready to go. Find this unexpected home for a Ducati powerplant for sale in Valley Springs, California for $3,500 here on Craigslist.
