Porsche has gotten involved in motorcycle engine design before – they were brought on to help develop the Revolution motor for Harley-Davidson’s V-Rod back in 2002. That liquid-cooled motor developed a very non-Harley number of 120 horsepower, and that might be what inspired the creator of this crazy build to build a trike around a different Porsche motor – the 5.0 liter V8 out of a 1986 Porsche 928S.
Per the Porsche Club of America, that 32-valve motor was good for 292 horsepower! The seller of this build gives barely any information, just that it was “5.5 years professionally built”. Not sure if that means it took 5 and a half years to build or if that’s how long ago the work was completed, but either way the seller unfortunately has to get rid of it due to cancer. It’s not very good looking, but…almost 300 horsepower! I’d love to try it, but only once.
Find this Porsche-powered trike for sale in Fountain, Colorado for $50,000 (the first three times I read this listing I thought/assumed the price was $5,000) here on Craigslist.
