As a competent and economical platform, Suzuki’s SV650 makes for a solid choice as the base for a wide array of different types of builds. A popular move is turning the mid-sized twin into a sport or track bike, and that’s exactly what we’ve got here; a well-farkled SV that’s been equipped with a myriad of cosmetic and performance modifications/upgrades.
The liquid-cooled, 645cc V-Twin in this example has been ported, polished, and fit with a Wisco 700cc big-bore kit (including cams). The fuel-injected twin has also been upgraded with a 2006 ECU, a TRE timing controller, and a full Vance & Hines CS1 exhaust system. The suspension on the SV has been lowered by an inch-and-a-half and given RaceTech springs, plus the sale includes rear adjustable lowering links (not currently installed).
Cosmetic additions to the bike consist of the bottom section of a full front fairing, a Hotbodies rear hugger, D3 grips, bar-end mirrors, and foot controls, aftermarket adjustable shorty levers (eBay grade), frame sliders in the front, middle and back, a smoked headlight lens (and smoked taillight), a Rizoma style (front) brake reservoir, solo seat cowl (passenger seat included), custom-painted calipers, and a Rockstar Energy livery.
The Zook’s also been treated to a lithium ion battery with a digital readout, a Battery Tender charging port, a 600K HID headlight conversion, and RAM phone mount. Other additions to the mid-sized cult classic include a front drive sprocket conversion and 525 sprocket conversion, both Vortex items, a new D.I.D. chain, EBC Brake Pads, new brake lines throughout, and new master cylinders fore and aft.
The seller — who claims to be the original owner — describes the oh-fiver SV as “adult ridden”, states that it was “never dropped”, and that it was only ran on premium fuel. While it’s definitely not for everyone, the bike is pretty immaculate, and the price seems reasonable for what it is and its condition.
