Honda’s CBR900RR revolutionized what a sportbike could be. But I’m not featuring this bike because of its performance – this time around it’s for the livery. In 1994, Honda introduced a distinctive scheme called the Urban Tiger, but it was never offered in the US. Here’s one in Texas that was imported from Holland.
The seller of this example (VIN: SC282253952) says that he bought it from a Dutch dealer with “a camera that made it look pristine in the pictures which it is unfortunately not.” He says that everything works mechanically, however there’s a few scratches and cosmetic imperfections, including a repaint. It also has nearly 35,000 miles.
So it’s not a museum piece, but that just means you can enjoy riding it and not worrying about road chips while you stand out in your distinctive colorway.
