Starting with a Kawasaki Versys 650, this seller has created a hell of a gravel road runner. There isn’t much here that identifies this as a Kawi.
This Versys has 16,000 miles and the seller says it “was built to travel.” It’s ready to go with a fresh oil/filter change and clean air filters. The seller has a comprehensive (258 pages!) build thread on ADVRider that’s definitely worth a look if you’re interested in buying it or just a fan of clever home builds.
The essentials include the frame from a 2009 Versys with a motor from a ER6-N – a similar bike but with slightly higher power and torque figures. It has the fork brake, brake lines, and 49mm fully adjustable front forks from a Suzuki DRZ400S, a shock from a Yamaha R1, 19″ front wheel from a Suzuki V-Strom 1000, 17″ rear wheel from a Suzuki SV650, rear swingarm and front fender from a Ninja 650R, KTM 990 headlight/windscreen, dual LED aux lights, aluminum radiator guard, ProTaper ATV bars, Cycra hand guards, and plenty more. The seller seems to have a reputation for well-thought builds and it’s not hard to see why based on this bike.
