Post Listing Update: this CB/CR did not meet reserve despite 25 bids up to $75,100.

Vic World has earned himself the nickname of “Mr. CB750” thanks to decades of expertise and restorations of sandcast motors. One of his personal projects was a CR750 built on a sandcast CB750 donor. It’s one of the best CR builds I’ve ever seen, and the bidding will surely reflect that soon.

To be frank, Vic does a better job explaining Honda’s CR program than I ever could as he has a portion of his website dedicated to this bike, going from the background, his dream of creating it, the build itself, and results from when the bike went racing. The listing itself does a good job summarizing the history as well.

This bike was finished in 1999, and Vic decided to go racing: “racing it first at Sears Point, taking 3rd place. The very last time it was raced, it won both AHRMA’s Formula 750, and Formula Vintage in 2002 at Daytona, clocked by AHRMA at 150mph in the Tri-oval.
