The Subaru BR-Z was released to much fanfare a couple of years ago as a sports car for the masses. Unfortunately, some consumers felt the 200 horsepower boxer engine didn’t provide enough oomph (and that’s a debate for another day). You may be wondering why this belongs on a motorcycle site. Well, a company named Synergy Race Engines in Australia has developed a 2.4L V8 engine by bringing together two engines from the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-12R.
Famous Japanese tuning house Jun has taken that engine and put it in the BR-Z, where it now revs to 10K and puts down a solid 361 horsepower. See? Motorcycles make everything better:
