Victory Motorcycles earned a couple of podium places at this year’s Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with their electric Empulse RR and the petrol-powered Project 156 – placing 2nd and 3rd overall respectively. These videos (and understandably) are unfortunately not from the race day, but they’re still very cool (assuming you have a computer and internet connection that don’t suck).
The Empulse placed 2nd overall, winning its class of “Electric Bike”. At the beginning you can hear the siren that the electric bikes are required to emit so that people can hear them. Then you just hear a bunch of wind noise:
Project 156 also wont its class (Exhibition Powersport) en route to placing 3rd overall:
An excellent showing for Victory – though Kawasaki ended up taking 1st overall with Bruno Langlois on a Kawasaki Z1000 (his 2nd overall title).
