This weekend was the opening of this year’s Monster Energy Supercross season, and the racing in Angel Stadium in Anaheim yielded one of the weirder highlights you’ll probably see from the SX season. I’m not going to cast any judgment about what brought about why punches were thrown – but why punch the lid?
In the first two 450 races, Vince Friese took out Weston Peick, and the latter let his emotions get the best of him the second time around. Here’s footage of both incidents, but not in order:
Peick was fined $5,000 and will be suspended for Round 2.
