Jim Gesto is a trucker who said that he was sick of seeing cars run over motorcycles, so his solution was to “build a motorcycle big enough to run over a car”. I’m not making that up. Per his reading of the law, this is the biggest “trike” he could build that would still be legally designated as a motorcycle, and he calls it the Tower Trike. It uses a supercharged AND turbocharged Detroit Diesel 6V92 motor that’s claimed to produce 335 horsepower and 1,020 pound-feet of torque! He’s starting to build them so if you’ve lost your mind, you can order one for yourself!
These things are insane – each bike will have a giant cross mounted on the back, and the rear end will feature the 10 Commandments as well as a salute to firefighters and the police. The top speed is claimed to be 84 miles per hour and each “bike” will have a 2 year, unlimited mile warranty. Other insane facts include a dry weight of 10,780 pounds, height of 8’8″, and a length of 18’8″. Oh yeah, and there’s 80 gallon fuel tanks.
