The regional winners of Deus’ Boundless Enthusiasm Bike Build Off have been selected, and now it’s time for you to help pick the winner of the Global People’s Choice Award! Come see if your favorite bike hails from Los Angeles (Venice), Tokyo, Sydney, Bali, or Milan…
Click here to see all the candidates, which include regional winners of categories like Small Bore, Open, Original Mention, Race, and People’s Choice. Just like last year, it’s unclear to me exactly when voting ends, so get on it soon.
This year I enjoyed the builds from Sydney and Milan the most – here are a few examples:
1. Honda Dax customized by a 13 year old – won “Enthusiasm Special Mention” in Milan. Features a handmade seat built from two skateboards.
2. Monowheel – won 2nd place in Small Bore in Sydney.
3. 1982 Piaggio Ciao – won 1st place in Small Bore in Milan. Called “Silhouette”, this was designed for drag racing. Built within 2 weeks and the builder says the hardest part was customizing the front fork, which took about 40 hours.
4. 1976 Yamaha XT500 – won 3rd place in Open in Sydney.
