Post Sale Update: This custom KX sold for $16,750 after 63 bids on eBay.

On the cover of their February 2019 issue, Dirt Bike magazine featured a “high-tech KX500 for the 21st century.” Built by Wayne Ransom, this aluminum-framed KX500 features extensive use of titanium, as it was used to build the fuel tank, exhaust, subframe, front headmount, engine mount bolts, and foot pegs. The editor of Dirt Bike, Mark Tilley, said “The Ransom KX500AF project breaks the mold of how we build project bikes. In our opinion, the Ransom KX500AF project is one of the cleanest KX500AFs we’ve seen and is definitely the best-looking KX500AF ever built.” Now, it can be yours!

The builder says that he’s put 300-350 hours of work into the bike, and he’s got hundreds of photos and videos through the process on an Instagram account created specifically for this Kawasaki.

There’s less than 3 hours on the Tom Morgan Racing-tuned motor, and the list of modifications is truly impressive. Head to the listing for a full breakdown of what’s been done, or just find this KX500 for sale in Egg Harbor City, New Jersey with bidding up to $16,250
