Yamaha’s entry to the world of large adventure bikes is the Super Tenere 1200, introduced in 2010. It was a competent bike when it was released, however it has seen much in terms of updates since. Motorcycle.com just released the “street” portion of their annual big enduro comparison, and the Super Ten placed dead last. Mind you, that doesn’t mean it’s a bad bike, it just means that it’s not at the top of the pecking order any more. More importantly, if you go used you can save a lot of money and won’t be missing out on much compared to the newest model. That’s part of what makes this bike so interesting, because it’s INCREDIBLY well-accessorized.
The list of mods is extensive, and you really need to go to the listing to look at it all. But it’s clear the seller has spent a lot of time and money on this Yamaha. Highlights include custom “First Edition” paint – only available in Europe, mini LED turn signals, AltRider crash protection, newer model side stand, Baja Designs Squadron running lights, Pivot Pegz rider foot pegs and custom foot pegs for the passenger to provide more room, Russell Day Long custom heated seats, Flexx handlebars with a 1.5″ rise, Jesse side bags and top case, Stoltec suspension with Pesnke rear shock, Leo Vince muffler, and a flashed ECU. The odometer shows 22,401 miles. If you specifically want a Super Tenere, you owe yourself a call to this seller.
