The farkle list for this bike reads like it was a demo bike for Touratech, so if you’ve been looking to spend R1200GS money on a Sertao, come take a look.
If you need a refresher on what the Sertao was, check out this profile from Adventure Motorcycle. This isn’t cheap, but the seller sure has spent a lot of dough on creating this bike over the last 13,000 miles – now the question is if all that money was worth it. Highlights of the work include “every Touratech accessory that they sold as of about 6 months ago”: tank bag, side bags, engine/tank/headlight/brake/ABS guards, peg relo kit, two rear racks, aux lights, skidplate, and more. In addition to the Touratech catalog, this bike has a Leo Vince exhaust, Rekluse clutch, front fork conversion from a Yamaha YZ450, Ratel axles, and an Adventure Trac seat. The amount of money in this build is absurd.
Find this Sertao for sale here on ADVRider (registration required) in El Paso, Texas for $14,000 or best offer. They don’t make the Sertao any more but a new G650GS will cost you a bit over $8,000. So what do you think – good deal for a bike where you wouldn’t need to spend any more on mods? Or would you be putting a R12GS/1190 Adventure in your garage instead?
