UPDATE: Here’s the review!
Cycle News is sending me to Las Vegas Motor Speedway this week to get some seat time on the new Z H2 – what do you want to know about it?
I’m fond of this bike as it’s a naked version of the H2 SX SE that I rode across the country (Jacksonville, Florida to Santa Monica, California) in less than 50 hours last year, and it’s now the cheapest way (MSRP $17,000 plus $410 destination charge) that someone can buy a production motorcycle with a supercharged motor. I think the front half is quite ugly, but I also can’t think of a “super” naked bike that looks good right now – if you say “Ducati Streetfighter V4”, I’m going to smack you through your screen.
When I was at the Long Beach International Show a few months ago, I was trying to get some details about this bike from Ken Essex, Kawasaki’s Manager of Public Relations. All he was willing to share is that riding the Z H2 “is like hugging a giant supercharger.” I am very much into this concept – I absolutely LOVE fast naked motorcycles.
You know the drill by now – check out Kawasaki’s site for some details and numbers on paper, and then hit me with your questions in the comments below!
