As noted in my MV-focused tour of Moto Talbott, I’ve currently got the key to a MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 Lusso. You know the drill – what do you want to know about it?
One of my absolute favorite trips in recent times was a visit to the MV factory in Varese for the launch of the Brutale 800 RR (here’s my coverage of that bike for Cycle News). I got to see the entire lineup when I was at the factory (including the insane RVS #1), and if I could have picked one to ride at that moment it would have been the TV. Everyone else around me thought I was crazy, but on paper it makes so much sense.
The highlight is MV’s 800cc triple (110 horsepower) in a sport-touring package that weighs 423 pounds dry. Heated grips, comfortable ergonomics, 40L panniers – it’s a MV you can ride all day, every day. But you’ll have to pay MV prices for the privilege, as MSRP is $19,998. They make a SCS (Smart Clutch System) version of the Lusso which incorporates a Rekluse clutch, but that’s not on my loaner.
I’m collecting my thoughts for a written review, so leave a comment if there’s something specific you want to know!
