I’ve recently had some quality time with Indian’s newest take on their FTR lineup – the limited-edition RSD Super Hooligan limited. What would you like to know about it?
It’s been over five years since I last rode a FTR – it was at Willow Springs as part of an Alpinestars Friends and Family Day – and I wasn’t super impressed (mostly because of the 19″/18″ wheel sizes). But the bike has gone through several revisions since then (including using 17″s at both ends).
As you can tell from the name, the new model was built in collaboration with Roland Sands and takes inspiration from their Super Hooligan racer. It’s based on the FTR R Carbon and features a 1,203cc V-Twin engine (120 hp, 87 lb-ft), Ohlins suspension, Brembo brakes, Akrapovic exhuast, and what I think is a fantastic paint job.
Indian is making just 300 examples (150 of which will be sold in the US), and the MSRP is $19,499. Check out what Indian has to say about their bike here!
One question I can answer in advance: yes, it does some pretty good wheelies:
Let me know if you have other questions and I’ll let you know my thoughts soon!
