Who’s Going To AHRMA at Laguna Seca?

I’m taking off this morning to Laguna Seca as I’ll be riding at the Aprilia Racers day event on Monday, but I’m going up a couple of days early because Laguna is hosting AHRMA racing and I want to see some cool vintage race bikes! Will any of you be there?

I’ve only had the pleasure of watching a couple of AHRMA races in the past, but I’ve always been blown away by the variety of motorcycles that people are competing/having fun with. Sure, the modern stuff is effortlessly fast, but this is the stuff that makes me happy:

I have to spend a half day at work so it’s more than likely that I won’t get up to Monterey before racing ends on Saturday, but I’ll be spending all day Sunday at the track and I hope to share some of my favorite bikes with you. AHRMA’s doing something interesting this year – a multi-disciplinary event they’re calling the Triple Crown. In addition to the usual road racing on the recently-repaved track, there will be a few off-road events: trials, cross country, and motocross. Racers will have to compete in at least three (you can do two vintage road racing classes) and whoever has the most points across three racing classes will be crowned the Triple Crown winner!

So…will I see you there?
