This kitted winter weapon started out as a 2017 Yamaha YZ450F. The engine was stripped and built back up by Millennium Technologies using a ported head, cams, and 14:1 compression piston from GYTR, as well as a new crank, rod, bearings, etc. According to the seller, more than $4,500 has gone into the engine alone.
The 450 thumper also received a trick GET RX1 (blue) programmable ECM and was dyno-tuned by Junior Jackson Racing — the same outfit responsible for this example’s intake and “trumpet super trap exhaust”. Other highlights include a Rekluse TorqDrive clutch and silicone hoses.
Once the power plant was thoroughly sorted, a 2018 Yeti 129SS snow track kit with external reservoir Raptor shocks fore and aft (both with adjustable compression and rebound damping), carbon fiber rear wheels, aluminum color-matched reactor arms, red Yeti Sycrodrive belt gears, and red anodized rails. With the Yeti kit in place, the next phase of the build consisted of tacking on an array of accessories: rack and gas can mounts, Cyclops LED headlight, Raze liquid heated handlebars, Emig ODI grips, Renthal cross bar and pad, Fastway billet one piece top clamp, risers, and bark busters, Raze thermostat, Trail Tech temperature gage, RMS thermostatically controlled electric fan, Bulletproof radiator guards, RMS front fork valving and .60 springs, P3 Carbon fork and frame guards, Fastway adventure foot pegs with F6 cleats, Seat Concepts seat, IMS 2.9 gal. fuel tank, and a LiteSpeed Carbon Fiber skid plate. The seller claims the bike now boasts over $5,500 in accessories.
While this is admittedly an expensive machine, it is a top of the line snow tracker, sporting high-end everything. When adding up the cost of the 2017 Yamaha, the 2018 Yeti kit, the engine work, and the best of accessories, the asking price starts to look markedly more reasonable. The seller also says in total the Yamaha weighs in at less than 300 lbs wet. The chassis is said to only have 23 hours of use on it, while the engine reportedly only has half-an-hour of use thus far.
