If that lead photo doesn’t make you want to buy this bike and travel, something might be wrong with you. The seller is a bit of an Africa Twin nut – I featured another one of his ATs for sale a couple of weeks ago. It’s been modified to better suit taller riders, it has relatively low mileage for this model (50k), it’s rare in the United States, and it’s been well farkled. What’s not to like?
The modification list here is extensive, but the highlights include 49L Happy Trails panniers that have been powdercoated, Rugged Roads crash bars that have been altered to hold two RotoPax containers and an optional 11 gallon fuel tank that could be sold separately, Leo Vince X3 exhaust, HID headlight conversion kit, Happy Trails 58L trunk, footpeg lowering kit, 2″ of suspension lift in the front and rear, MRA windscreen, a longer centerstand, stainless steel brake lines, Acerbis handguards, and much, much more. The aftermarket seat in photos will not be included, you’ll have a choice of a regular or low OEM seat. The trunk mount will not be included either, so you’ll have to source another or fab one up before you can use the gigantic trunk. For 200+ more photos of this bike and some of the adventures it’s been on, check out the seller’s SmugMug gallery – there’s some gorgeous shots on the first couple of pages because this guy knows how to tour. The meal table setup he creates out of the panniers is also worth a look.
